As illustrated in the preceding figure, Partner Organization is part of the following inheritance hierarchy:
The typical responsibilities of a Partner Organization are to:
- Collaborate with the development organization to produce a system or application.
- There can easily be multiple partner organizations on a project or program.
- Every project does not involve a partner organization
working together with the development organization. Do not
use this organization unless a significant partner relationship exists.
- Partner organizations and subcontractor organizations are
not the same roles, although it is possible for typically
different parts of the same business to play both.
- The partner organization typically inherits the
common team guidelines from the
organization process component.
