Responsibilities

The typical responsibilities of a Reuse Organization are to:

• Produce and maintain one or more reuse repositories.
• Identify, evaluate, and obtain potentially reusable work products.
• Prepare and certify reusable work products.
• Support projects within an enterprise by providing reusable work products to the:
  • Development organization(s).
  • Partner organization(s).
  • Subcontractor organization(s).

Guidelines

• Significant reuse typically requires a reuse organization to run the reuse repositories and to support other organizations.
• The reuse organization is often a part of the same business as either the development organization or the customer organization.
• The reuse organization typically inherits the common team guidelines from the organization process component.
