The typical responsibilities of a Vendor Organization are to:
- Provide information about its COTS products.
- Demonstrate its products to the development organization.
- Accept change requrests about its products.
- There can easily be multiple vendor organizations on a project or program.
- It is possible for the same business to act as both a
vendor organization and a subcontractor organization.
- The vendor organization typically inherits the
common team guidelines from the
organization process component.
