Quality Work Product Set
Definition
The
quality set is the cohesive set of
work products that may be
produced during the
quality engineering activity.
Work Products
The OPF repository contains the following set of predefined
quality work products:
- Planning:

Quality Plan,
which is used to document the plans for performing
quality engineering on an
endeavor.

Evaluation Plan,
which documents all plans for performing
evaluations on an endeavor.
- Modeling:

Quality Model,
which formalizes the definition of the term
“quality” as used during an endeavor.
- Evaluating:

Audit Report,
which are used to document the results of an
audit.

Endeavor Debrief Report,
which documents the analysis and lessons learned
resulting from the "post mortem" walkthrough at the end
of an endeavor.

Inspection Reports,
which are used to document the results of an
individual inspector's evaluation of a work product.

Inspection Summary Reports,
which are used to summarize the major findings of
the inspection of a work product.

Process Inspection Checklist,
which are used to direct the inspection of the
development process.

Review Materials,
which are the materials presented to the reviewers
during a review.

Review Report,
which are used to document the results of a
review.
Guidelines
- Different endeavors require different processes, which in
turn will require different quality work products.
- Every endeavor does not require the production of every
quality work product.
- Select only those quality work products that are
appropriate for the endeavor.
- Selected quality work products should be:
- Relevant.
- Useful.
- Usable.
- Cost-effective.
