Definition

The training set is the cohesive set of work products that may be produced during the training activity.

Work Products

Documents

The OPF repository contains the following set of predefined training documents:

• Training Needs Assessment,
  which documents the results of the training needs assessment task.
• Training Vendor Assessment,
  which documents the results of assessing the training vendors and their offerings.
• Training Plan,
  which documents plans for performing training on an endeavor.
• Training Materials,
  which document information to be trained to stakeholders on an endeavor.
• Training Schedule,
  which documents the detailed schedule for all training on an endeavor.
• Training Status Report,
  which documents the status of training in terms of training provided and training needs met.

Software and Content

The OPF repository contains the following set of predefined training software and content:

• Computer-Based Training Materials,
  which document information to be trained to stakeholders on an endeavor.

Guidelines

• Different endeavors require different processes, which in turn will require different training work products.
• Every endeavor does not require the production of every training work product.
• Select only those training work products that are appropriate for the endeavor.
• Selected training work products should be:
  • Relevant.
  • Useful.
  • Usable.
  • Cost-effective.
