Work Products
The OPF repository contains the following set of predefined management
work products:
- Budget,
which documents the costs associated with the endeavor.
- Component
Schedule,
which documents the master schedule of all important planned dates for a
major component.
- Contract,
which models a mutually binding agreement that formally specifies the
obligations of the development and customer organizations.
- Delivery
Statement,
which is the formal document of the work products being delivered and
accepted.
- Documentation
Plan,
which documents an endeavor’s approach to producing and
maintaining documentation.
- Employee
Evaluation,
which reports the results of the evaluation of an employee playing one or
more roles on an endeavor or at a center.
- Interview
Checklist,
which is a checklist that is used when interviewing a person during the
hiring task.
- Interview
Report,
which is the results of interviewing a person during the hiring
task.
- Job
Description,
which describes the roles and responsibilities associated with a single
job title.
- Management
Plan,
which documents the top-level plans for managing an endeavor.
- Master
Schedule,
which documents the master schedule of all important planned dates on an
endeavor.

which documents the mission of the endeavor or center.

Chart,
which is a diagram that documents the composition of either the

which models a narrative description of the work products and services to
be delivered by the development organization to the customer organization
under the contract.

project.
Guidelines
- Different endeavors require different processes, which in turn will
require different management work products.
- Every endeavor does not require the production of every management
work product.
- Select only those management work products that are appropriate for
the endeavor.
- Selected management work products should be:
- Relevant.
- Useful.
- Usable.
- Cost-effective.
